Meet Action Estate Sales
As a family owned and operated business since 2001, Action Estate Sales was founded on the principles of honesty, respect, and integrity. Originally founded in 2001 by Ronald MacKool Jr., Action Estate Sales was later purchased by his brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Christy Shearer in 2015. Specializing in Metro-Detroit, Michigan estate sales, Action Estate Sales provides a wide range of services, from estate clean outs and estate appraisals to customizable estate sales.
Our Mission
Our mission is to make the estate sale process as smooth as possible. Once the contract is signed, our team will take care of everything: taking pictures, staging the sale, posting advertisements, and setting up security cameras when necessary. Additionally, we handle organizing inventory, appraising items, staffing the sale, and arranging final cleaning services and donation deliveries. Within 72 hours of the sale, we provide our clients with the final check from the proceeds of their sale.
We operate with urgency, professionalism, and attention to detail to ensure our clients feel at ease throughout the process. Our goal is to remove the burden and worry off a client’s shoulders during what can be a very difficult time, while maximizing the total profit on their sale.

Owner
With 18 years of experience, Richard Shearer runs Action Estate Sales with his wife, Christy. Richard is caring, compassionate, and can be found helping others in need. He enjoys spending time with his family, baking and collecting albums.
Owner, Setup Manager, and Photographer
Christy brings 17 years of experience to Action Estate Sales, which she runs with her husband, Richard. When she’s not busy at work, Christy enjoys spending time with her family and doing volunteer work. Christy loves a good vintage find and brings organization to Action Estate Sales with her detail-oriented nature.
Marge Devore is a sales manager at Action Estate Sales, where she brings 20 years of experience to the table. Marge is happily married, and enjoys spending time with her children and grandchildren. She is looking to retire in 2026.
Sales Manager
Debbie is a sales manager at Action Estate Sales. Her dedication and hard work ethic contributes to the company's success. Debbie loves warm summer months enjoying her pool, barbequing and traveling Up North to her family's tree farm. Debbie always loves to cook and bake.
Sales Associate
Julie Gwyn is a sales associate at Action Estate Sales. Julie's positive attitude and strong work ethic contribute to the company's success.
Izabelle has grown up in the Estate sale business. She is the daughter of Rich and stepdaughter to Christy. She began working with the team in 2022. Izzy, as she likes to be called, is creative and hard working. She enjoys spending time with friends and trying new foods.
T'Keyah joined our team in 2024. T'Keyah is hardworking, honest and a quick learner. She loves to take road trips. She has been to several state parks throughout the United States. T'Keyah also likes to dabble in art and is in a book club. She also volunteers in the community.
Aiden has grown up around the Estate sale business. Recently graduating from high school, Aiden is learning the skilled trade of welding. When he is available, he contributes to the team. Aiden loves construction and likes to help others.
